Young Chef of the Year

The Master Chefs of Great Britain Young Chef of the Year competition is open to all chefs age 23 years and under and  working in a restaurant/hotel kitchen or training at a recognized college of further education.

 

The competition introduced in 2010 had been designed to allow young chefs to produce a three-course meal using a number of set ingredients and a classic recipe whilst testing their skills and giving them the opportunity to put their own flair and imagination into the dishes.

1st January             Entry forms available

30th March              Entries close

6th April                    Finalists announced

23rd May                  The Final

 

The Young Chef Awards Dinner takes place after the final and the official prize giving for both the Young Chef of Year competition and The David Lyell Scholarship are presented to the winners.
