Membership Information and Categories.


All membership applications will be examined by the Executive Committee and assessed to entry and specific grading

  1. FULL MEMBERSHIP is open to Chefs who can demonstrate that they are in a senior position within their profession. A non-active working Chef will be judged on recommendation, reputation and experience together with record of employment.
  2. ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP will be by invitation only and limited to individuals who can demonstrate their dedication to the promotion of the hospitality and food industry.
  3. SOUS CHEF open to Sous Chefs who can demonstrate to the Membership Secretary a proven career path and their commitment to quality. Each application will be considered on its own merit.
  4. PASTRY CHEF

JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP will carry the title JUNIOR MASTER CHEF OF GREAT BRITAIN and will be awarded to any candidate Chef that has qualified through the MCGB Modern Apprenticeship Scheme He/she will have the opportunity to apply for full membership after 5 years of proven experience as a Head Chef within renowned and recognised establishments.

Full Professional Membership
Open to chefs who can demonstrate that they are at the top of their profession by their experience and by having gained industry recognition over a number years.

Joining fee £75.00
Annual Membership dues £85.00

Sous Chef Membership
Open to sous chefs who can demonstrate a commitment to quality.
Annual Membership dues £45.00

Junior Membership
Open to chefs who have successfully completed the MCGB Apprenticeship Scheme or hold the MCGB Advanced Training Diploma.
Annual Membership dues £35.00

Associate Membership is also available.
