Biography
Roger Jones spent his early career working for The British Government and Royal Family and was the youngest Chef to run State Banquets at the tender age of 21.
Roger gained his first Michelin Star in 2006, which he has retained every year since. The Harrow was The AA Restaurant of The Year for 2011 and has had 3 Rosettes for 8 years. The Harrow has been a breeding ground for many youngsters, who have gone on to work at The Fat Duck, The Dorchester, The Ritz, and overseas.
Roger Jones' passion for food is matched by his on-going love affair with wine. He sits on the Decanter World Wine Awards representing Australia, contributes to various Wine Journals and consults numerous bodies. He was made a Chevalier Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne in 2010.
Roger supports many Charities and helped raise over £200,000.00 for his chosen charities in 2011; SCOPE (by running the London Marathon tied to 49 others and achieving a World Record) and Ty Hafan, a hospice for terminally ill children. This year Roger will also be supporting Swindon Carers.
Roger works with Westminster and Swindon Catering Colleges as well as visiting schools all over the South West.
